About Heather

Heather is a passionate and highly qualified Osteopath, APPI-certified Pilates Instructor, and soon-to-be Personal Trainer (Level 3), and Strength & Conditioning Coach (Level 4), dedicated to helping people move well, feel strong, recover from pain and injury, and live life to the fullest.

Heather supports her clients through every stage of their journey – whether that’s recovering from injury, managing pain, building strength, achieving physical goals, or simply staying active doing the things they love.

She takes pride in offering a highly personalised approach, treating every individual as just that – an individual. Pain, injury, and health histories are unique, so services offered are always adapted to suit each person’s specific needs. Small class sizes in the Pilates studio ensure every client receives focused attention and tailored guidance.

Originally from Cornwall, Heather’s interest in science, the human body, and sport began early on. She moved to London to pursue this passion, completing her Master’s degree in Osteopathy at The British School of Osteopathy. After several years of clinical experience in London, she returned to Falmouth in 2018, where she now practises as an Osteopath with a special interest in:

  • Neck and back pain

  • Joint pain

  • Muscular injury

  • Neuralgia

  • Sports injuries

  • Bone health (including Osteoporosis and Osteopenia)

  • Hypermobility conditions

In March 2020, Heather took ownership of Falmouth Osteopathic Clinic – stepping into healthcare business ownership at a uniquely challenging time. Since then, she has continued to develop the clinic as a centre of excellence for Musculoskeletal Health, Osteopathy and movement-based rehabilitation in Cornwall.

Heather was introduced to Pilates through her own experience of injury. What began as a personal practice soon evolved into a professional pursuit. After years of self-practice, she trained with the Australian Physiotherapy and Pilates Institute (APPI) to become a certified Matwork Pilates Instructor. This training has enriched both her understanding of movement and her approach to rehabilitation.

Currently completing further qualifications in Personal Training and Strength & Conditioning, Heather is expanding her offering to support clients not only through injury recovery but also in achieving performance goals – from running marathons to building everyday strength and resilience. She currently enjoys strength training, trail running, hiking, and sea swimming, and has recently completed both marathons and her first ultramarathon.

In her downtime, Heather enjoys playing the piano, lifting weights, running on the Cornish coastal path, and spending as much time as possible by the sea – whether in it, on it, or beside it.
